I have read, from believable sources, that the USS Liberty was being operated/directed by the CIA, with CIA personnel on-board. They were giving up information about Israel's military operations to Israel's enemies during actions where Israeli military personnel were at risk due to their enemies receiving such information from the Liberty. It is my understanding the Liberty was warned to stop, but the CIA had it continue to release information damaging to Israel, and it was attacked.

The CIA - of course - denies this, but it falls once again under their CIA-created term "conspiracy theory", which almost always proves in the end to be correct, as we have found to be the case, especially in recent years. If this is difficult for you to believe, remember that Obama released information the US government possessed about Israel's nuclear capabilities to muslim enemies of Israel. Obama hates Israel and especially Netanyahu, as he has demonstrated on several occasions.

One of the keys = Cooperation and communication.

One of the keys = Education (Lack of knowledge is depleting)

Keep up the great work OTB’s

It’s all very interesting, there is a plethora of chatter happening at every level but for those who are most aware, knowledge, and understand some of the intricate details especially when it comes to “follow the money” dialogue is vital! MSM, unfortunately has failed, these days we need to do our own research, having conversations allows us the opportunity to ask better questions and search for answers!

IMO: Actions speak louder than words! Friends and Foe’s, Enemies Foreign and Domestic! We’ve just learned that China was instrumental in the 2020 election interference (theft) so who within our own government is in cahoots?!? If the forever wars (so much death and destruction) are actually going to

stop 🛑 those responsible need to be

eradicated (harsh) identified, found, arrested and held accountable! Who are our allies and who are our enemies? Humanity as a whole just wants to Live in Peace, Be Free of Tyranny and Be Productive Members of Society, unfortunately there’s a small group of evil who just hate that concept! Change occurs = By The Will Of The People!

My personal position is possibly that one book everyone needs to open is the Bible. God has a plan for Israel, and he clearly states what He will do to those who attack Israel, and those who support Israel.

Don’t know if this is the first political dialogue from Open The books, but you should probably stick to what you do best and that is to keep us informed of spending and leave us to decide through other sources the results of the President’s political actions.

Will there be a peace dividend once the Ayatollahs are no longer fomenting jihadi insurgencies in the Middle East?

Good question, and yes, I think so. A lot of Mid-East countries could spend less on their military, they'd see more tourism and foreign investment, etc. That can be measured. What's harder to measure is the sense of well-being that comes -- that we Americans take for granted -- from not living in fear of an October 7 or exploding pagers.

Open the Books needs to do this work. It needs to drill down into how much AIPAC and other Israel supporters have spent on US politicians and compare that to how much money has flowed to Israel over various timeframes. The question of whether supporting Israel or any other country (including NATO countries) makes the US more or less safe is debatable. The flow of money is not.

So it appears that the HASBARAH hits, keep on coming.

~$300 Billion is only the cost of the direct financial contributions sent to the Zionist Entity, a place that has nationalized healthcare for its ethno-supremacist citizenry...at least, in the areas where the Hospitals and EMS haven't all been targeted for Genocidal bombings and massacres. Of course, the costs of our military campaigns on behalf of the settler-colonial apartheid STATE will no doubt go on into the Trillions. How much did we spend, on two wars and invasions of Iraq? And how much in the neverending occupation of Iraq, and now Syria? What of OPERATION TIMBER SYCAMORE? How much have we spent destroying Libya, and bribing the corrupt Regimes of Jordan and Egypt?

While one could argue that we do these things for our own Imperial ambitions - there are direct quotes from Netanyahu (Milikowsky) that indicates that not to truly be the case. There is the Oded Yinon plan for a "Greater Israel", which looks very similar to the plans for a "Greater Germany", of another Genocidal ethno-supremacist State, of a bygone era. That planned conquest, stretches from the Euphrates to the Nile. It requires pliant neighboring States, which explains the Zionist obsession with completing "Regime Change" in Iran.

A former American diplomat is quoted as saying something like, '...our only friend in the Middle East? I remember a time when we had no Enemies in the region.' When Truman extended his support to the formation of a Zionist Entity, through the UN - he did so over the objections of most of the career diplomats in the State Department. Both he and the UN were ignoring the protestations of the senior most Rabbi in Jerusalem, at the time, and the majority of world Jewry (at least, the Torah-faithful Jews).

This "ally" has deliberately attacked an American ship, the USS LIBERTY, according to the survivors of the attack. Their testimony relates horrific war crimes that were committed against the American Sailors and Intelligence Professionals who were aboard, including the straffing of survivors in life rafts. That was apparently part of a 'false-flag' attack - an attempt to get America to wrongly blame Egypt for the attack, and then launch a Nuclear strike against another one of the Zionists' targeted enemies. Sadly, this was neither the first nor the last such incident - see the Lavon affair. One may also question "the dancing Israelis" who were busted by the FBI, in New Jersey, where they were filming the events of September 11th. Their testimony on "Israeli" TV, indicates that they had at a minimum advanced warning of the events which were to unfold.

Can one truly serve two masters? Some, like Tucker Carlson are beginning to question whether "MAGA" really means "MIGA". Other savvy commentators have suggested thay "MAGA" really means "Miriam Adelson's Goals Achieved".

Zionism and Judaism are ANTONYMS, not synonyms. The attempts to conflate and confuse the two are a seemingly deliberate effort on the part of Zionists, taken at the expense of Jews who actually follow the Torah, maintain their faith in the Almighty, and await a divinely sent Redeemer, to end the exile imposed by G-d, in the later books of the Hebrew bible.

Too much to rebuke. I was curious about the "dancing Israelis in New Jersey," though. Had never heard of them. For the benefit of all, here's what AI says:

AI Overview

The "Dancing Israelis" refers to five Israeli men who were arrested in New Jersey on September 11, 2001, after being observed allegedly celebrating and filming the collapse of the World Trade Center towers.

They were identified as Sivan Kurzberg, Paul Kurzberg, Oded Ellner, Yaron Shimuel, and Omer Marmari.

Here is information about them:

Employment: They said they were Israeli tourists working for Urban Moving Systems, a moving company.

Arrest and Detention: Law enforcement detained them based on their behavior. They were later arrested for overstaying their visas.

Items Found: Authorities found maps of the city, box cutters, a large sum of cash, and foreign passports in their van.

FBI Investigation: The FBI investigated the men and concluded that Sivan and Paul Kurzberg were Mossad agents (Israeli intelligence agency).

Statement: Sivan Kurzberg reportedly said to the arresting officer, "We are Israeli; we are not your problem. Your problems are our problems, The Palestinians are the problem".

Release: The men were released without charges related to the 9/11 attacks. They signed documents admitting to immigration violations and returned to Israel.

Arguments: They argued their behavior was immature, not related to the attacks.

Conspiracy theories suggest they had prior knowledge of the attacks or involvement in the 9/11 events. However, there is no evidence to support these claims, and they are widely considered debunked.

Yeah… “Conspiracy Theories” - “considered debunked”😂🤣😂🤣… but it also acknowledges that (at least) two were Mossad…and they just happened to be at the perfect place, in advance, to record the collapse of the Towers - the currently dominant theory for which was whipped up in a weekend, by a Mr. Bazant.

That's a theory and a narrative, which has been shown to be fraudulent in countless ways by professional Architects and Engineers who have reviewed it. I recommend watching Architect Richard Gage's dissection of the fraudulent report, and the collapse of all THREE WTC TOWERS - only two of which were hit by airplanes. The third building to collapse that day was analyzed by Professor Emeritus Hulsey and a team of Grad students in Engineering at University of Alaska Fairbanks, and after several years of study it was the official narrative which was debunked. WTC7's collapse, as observed could only be explained by the near simultaneous failure of every structural support, in the entire building. It looks like any number of controlled demolitions. It's just about impossible to maintain that BIG LIE, in light of all of the available evidence.

But go ahead and believe whatever makes you feel most comfortable. That Moving Systems company was a Mossad front. There's also evidence to suggest that they were involved in the plots to bomb the Bridges and Tunnels in New York, on that fateful day.

They were not debunked, they were ignored and covered up by a corrupt & compromised U.S. government.

Also, your “AI” failed to mention they were arrested in a van on the GWB which bomb sniffing dogs alerted to. Also, the owners of the moving company, also Israelis, fled the U.S. shortly after the attack.

It is not true that "The numbers show that Israel has been our most important ally outside of NATO for many decades."--they only show that it has been perhaps our most EXPENSIVE ally. It has certainly been our most problematic one, if you can call it an "ally" at all.

I have yet to see a single coherent explanation of the benefit the US derives from its diplomatic and monetary support of Israel. The US throws massive resources at Israel and often subverts its own interests to benefit that country, but for what? I cannot think of a single significant instance in which Israel made a sacrifice that went against its own interests to benefit the US. Instead, it is the tail wagging the dog, jerking around US foreign policy and draining taxpayer wealth for decades, while our support antagonizes countries around the world.

You say that "Iran is ruled by a regime that kills people unless they agree with the mullahs." Maybe, maybe not. But that is no business of ours.

For the Carlson wing of the "Tucker Van Hollen" coalition, it should come down to one thing. Do we want to be on the side of the folks who make the enemy's beepers explode and put missiles through the windows of the enemy's military meetings, OR do we want to be on the side of the folks who shoot off impotent fireworks? The idea that we do not have to choose sides is simply too stupid to bother refuting.

You are right in one way: Might makes right in the shorter term. However, it is only effective in the longer term in certain cases. One thing is sure: it creates a lot of chaos, destruction, often disproportionately hurts women and children, and takes focus off using money and collective intelligence to solve domestic problems. See: US in Vietnam, Germany in WW2, Germany in WW1, etc. What you are saying sounds normal to you (read your last sentence), but the book "Overconfidence and War: the Havoc and Glory of Positive Illusions" shoots many holes in such a simplistic mindset.

I think you miss a crucial part here. Trump has left Europe up to NATO. Instead is focused on the Orient and the Middle East for better exports. This shows in his tariff plan, but it also shows in his defense of Israel. This attack on Iran benefits the Arabs as much as Israel and the USA. Iran's time is limited. Iran simply cannot be allowed to harass the region.

But, they have been very consistent in the declaration of intent to destroy the Little Satan (Israel) and the Great Satan (the USA). Everyone is better off if their nuke program is ended.
