I was part of a group of Mom’s for Liberty that made a presentation on SEL to our district board of trustees, Brian Schroeder-WY State Superindent and our State legislative education committee. We outlined everything you just mentioned in this article and much more about the relationship of CASEL and Panorama.
This is the way it is going to need to happen if the country is to be saved. A steady McCarthy type excising of these cancers in all of our institutions. The only other option is peaceful separation. Right now we should be doing cultural secession and forming parallel systems.

A really great article on today’s problems with education. I had several years teaching 7th-community college levels, ending up teaching in an alternative high school on a Native American reservation. This author makes valid points as well as documents statistics that aren’t surprising to me. I’ve taught in well to do schools as well as rural ranching areas and the biggest difference is the support for education in the child’s home as well as how secure the family unit is. If the home is broken and disruptive, then the child’s attentiveness at school is greatly diminished. Not having a father figure, also, has its problems. A strong man figure brings another dimension into a young man’s life. I think his point of hiring more men into the schools has always been a plus. I think today’s culture of the negative titles regarding, “white supremacy,” guilt or victimhood only adds baggage to a young man’s perception of himself. A strong family and father helps counteract this. But beyond this, traditional values concerning loving, respecting, and caring for others as yourself with God at the forefront are missing. The 10 commandments used to be norms followed at home and were reinforced in school. These taught limits in behavior, which I believe instilled security within a child. Many homes don’t necessarily have clear directives regarding these values. Often too much freedom is given too early. Maybe I’m old school, but I think both choices and commands are good and change according to the child’s age and responsibilities. On another note, Sean, have you ever watched David Sutherland’s documentary on “Country Boys?” He shows a wide angle view of maybe some of the white children your author is referring to. Though on the rez I saw many homes broken like theirs. Poverty and work ethic development are hurdles too and both add another piece to the puzzle. Thanks for sending this my way. Every state needs to end their relationship with Panorama. They are all about indoctrination. They capture data so they know what each school needs to convert them to a woke school.
