Billion Oyster Company is a great nonprofit cleaning up the rivers and bay around NYC. indIvidual oysters can clean up to 50 gallons of water per day. I’ve oystered farmed in Morro Bay Ca and they are legit for a healthy ecosystem. As a nonprofit they are gonna take the money from whoever, government or private.

Open The Books' primary focus appears to advocate keeping things as they are: poverty for the masses and prosperity for the billionaires.
