How do these things happen when so many Congress people have tried to fix this and end up being just one more graffter. However term limits is not the answer that's why we have the vote. Teach our children, in or out, of school how great this country is and why it is so great.
We need to just start nuking bureaucracies from orbit. Very few need to exist, they should be lead by an appointee from each state, salaried by that state, to simply assess and publish data (and possible recommendations). Leave it up to the states what regulations to enforce.
Nuke the fed, SS, the entirety of HHS, Medicare/Medicaid, government funding for just about anything.

Every dime spent by the federal gov is spent on the citizens behalf. Federal taxes do not fund federal spending. Study MMT. The US Gov issues the currency, they don't borrow it.
