If all these organizations and people want to be so helpful, why don't they do it with their own money and stop giving away mine? They are also giving away my retirement money and my future healthcare.

Your hatred of Ruiz, simply because of her advocacy background with DEIA is showing your biased tendencies and mindless fear. Just because you hate that others want to help the less fortunate doesn't mean you should allow that to influence your reporting. What a biased article. Providing help to refugees already here is a common good Americans can agree with. Helping the less fortunate is a good thing and having an attractive country is also a good thing all sane Americans want. Programs that help the less fortunate being "attractive" is common sense. If you want to scare away people with a garbage dump then you harm new immigrants and poor Americans. Biased and bogus reporting like this needs to change.

A lot of Americans DON'T agree. We have plenty of less fortunate people of our own. We don't need to be importing more of them. This is BORROWED money that you want to give away. We can't even pay for our own people and government, and people like you want to BORROW money under mine and every other taxpayer's name, and then give it to people that have broken the law to get here. F U!

Why don't YOU pay for it with your OWN money if you want to help so much? Leave my tax dollars OUT of it!

Thank You

Musk's DODGE should piggyback on OTB's findings and stop this insane spending that puts illegal immigrants in posh hotels and gives them money we average citizens who pay taxes don't qualify for.

NGOs are the reason we have over 5000 ukrainians in my city of 30k. They all have nicer cars and houses than I do and work less.

how would you know they work less unless you stalked all 5000? that would make you a creep and be physically impossible. Sounds more likely that you're jealous and insecure

You're right, he doesn't really know they work less. Maybe he is jealous too, and he has a right to be. He's definitely PO'd and frustrated, as am I. He can also infer that if, as Ukrainians, they are very recent immigrants, it's unlikely they have been here and gainfully employed long enough to organically save up enough money to buy things that people that have lived here their whole lives can't afford. Knowing that they are draining OUR SS funds and OUR Medicare funds, when we don't even know if there will be anything there when WE need it.

What we missed while we were presuming our government was doing its job, is that money distributed to NGO's (where it cannot be audited) has grown rapidly. When an NGO gets money how much of it goes to its leaders as fat salaries? How much of it is in kickbacks to people in our federal government. Time to stop the NGO corruption entirely. If we're going to spend money on welfare, government employees need to do it directly, and keep records..

No society can survive this level of stupidity and flat out insanity yet half the country did vote for Kamala which in effect was a vote for open borders and for the war on meritocracy which was being replaced by equity aka race based equal outcomes. This is just not working at all.

Do you have a contact at DOGE? Chris Rupo reports that DOGE is acting on information he passes to them. The worst of the border crisis facilitators can be found in your report. Thank you for pursuing this.

Has OTB ever tried going through Reps./Senators to get reponses? If you have, what was the response from the Reps./Senators?

If you want to talk about corrupt ‘agencies’, I believe Governor Murphy and the entire state of New Jersey would be an appropriate example. There isn’t one company, small or large, in manufacturing or production that doesn’t employ undocumented workers. In fact, it’s become so pervasive that legitimate job seekers cannot secure employment because they do not speak Spanish. These companies, like thieves in the night, pay below skilled trade wages, while healthcare benefits come courtesy of the taxpayer.

"determine what is life-saving aid" - this is the start of the Road to Perdition. Refugees should not be helped, period. Sink or swim, baby. If you help refugees, you get more of them.

Marcela Ruiz has been there less than a year.

Again, zero experience in anything but NFPs.

Prior role: Director - Officer of Equity

California Department of Social Services

Guess that state does such a great job that she took her skills national.
