It seams that John Kerry's 16.5 million payroll is not part of the cost. Its amazing, how we are as a society allow this to happen to us from both parties.

The encouraging part is that most of those 500 staffers don't appear to be trying to address the nation's problems. (If they were, things would be even worse.)

Thank you for doing this work, Adam. Does the White House personnel report include staffers from other federal agencies (“on detail”) or outside institutions such as universities and philanthropic foundations (“IPAs”) that are still paid by their home agency or outside institution?

Obama’s WH was notorious for shaking down federal departments and agencies and academia to pile more names on to their already bursting rosters. I assume much of that went unreported.
