Since 2013, millions of dollars in attorneys’ fees have been awarded to entities, usually nonprofits, to resolve environmental law litigation against the federal government.
That's good news. The amount of money so-called environmentalists have been getting is huge. All on the taxpayer's backs. They don't care about environment, it was just pretty window dressing for money and power. They've done immense harm to our environment with wind turbines, that have killed hundreds of thousands of birds and is now doing damage to undersea life as well. They leak chemicals and they freeze in cold winters. They are an inefficient way of creating energy. The fishing industry begged lawmakers not to put the turbines in the waters, but were ignored. It's not only their livelihood that's threatened, but the public too will be affected by the quality and availability of impacted species.
As far as I know, Democrats have sued Trump on every decision he's made, beginning in his first term. They lost most of the time, but there needs to be a new law about working against a president on every decision. That applies double to state-and-local government officials.
If only. The left has so much influence, it's almost impossible to pass anything, especially in blue states, where it won't go anywhere. As you say, they obstruct him in every way, which is what they promised to do.
Love where you are going in your article, but have to wonder why now: Sue and settle doesn’t need a non profit to function. And who cares about back doors when Congress doesn’t consistently act on an informed basis. Sadly, the millions are also a drop in the bucket when both sides of the aisle back aggression against nations that were dealing fairly under international and diplomatic regimes. That evades environmental responsibility, and promotes energy monopolization through military actions that scholars characterize as war crimes. And the bipartisan push for global domination puts everyone on the brink of economic collapse, under threat of destruction using tech weaponized by us. Neo cons call that marketing.
Nations were not dealing fairly with the United States, which is why President Trump took action, because the U.S. was contributing much more than they were. He wanted a level playing field and he wanted to bring back manufacturing, so that we weren't being robbed by higher foreign tariffs. It was strategic and it worked. Manufacturing has been coming back to the U.S. with a promise of no tariffs. Billions of investment dollars have been the result from many countries, including Japan, India and others.
Given the EPA is unconstitutional to begin with and should be shut down they should at the very least end the 3 most dangerous acts they support. If I were President the FIRST thing I would do is start actions to end ALL 501(c)s....ALL OF THEM. There is nothing in the Constitution that allows some Americans to pay taxes and some not pay anything.
We totally agree. Non-profit laws allow fraud and waste; so many egregious examples, including healthcare, environment, and other "services."
Also, government should do NO business -- zero -- with non-profits. The outcomes are almost always bad, government takes fees for administration and administrators, and taxpayers are forced to donate to causes they may not support.
In other words, demorat administrations use every possible avenue to funnel taxpayer dollars to political allies who help them stay in power.
USAID, environmental groups, every kind of public assistance payment program, combined with limited oversight and sloppy audits, all to hide the money and fleece the taxpayer.
I would argue 'sue and settle' is the primary tactic used by most lawyers at this point. The idea that a case is tried in a courtroom is antiquated - most probably could not argue on their feet. The 'process is the punishment' is very real.
'bout damned time! These 'sue & settle' schemes have been an insidious method of manipulating regulatory agencies behind the backs of legislators' oversight and intent.
Next thing to examine are the "cash in lieu" payments made by developers (held hostage) to select Green NGOs via EPA Compensatory Mitigation of Wetlands graft.
As well as the fraud of children's daycare, hospices we've just learned and probably so much more. It wasn't just politicians who were benefiting, it went to other countries, like Somalia. USAID was sending millions to other countries for the most ridiculous and terrible things. When you think how these politicians have been robbing Americans, it's enough to want them prosecuted and imprisoned. That however, isn't likely. The left is too entrenched in everything and everywhere.
If this exists at the EPA, is it hidden within other federal and state agencies? Dig deeper.

I suspect a court will find it unconstitutional to no longer give handouts to lefty organizations.
We can only hope. I don't have much confidence in the courts these days.

Let’s be clear, these payments are just a back door way for Dem politicians/administrations to fund organizations that they support anyway.

Environmental "non-profits" are the "Learing Center" Scams for these law firms and these agencies.
The "sue and settle" is the equivalent of a fraudster running purposefully in to your car, saying its your fault, and claiming damages.

Just another left-wing grift to get donations that are undoubtedly funneled back to the politicians who enacted this scam.
